Last Wednesday Kristin and I went to Vegas for a friend’s bachelorette party and let me tell you we had a BALL. If you’ve never gone to Vegas or never considered going you should definitely add it to your list of places to go in the near future. Prior to actually going to Vegas I never really had an interest in going but after experiencing all the lights and glitz I can’t wait to plan my next trip back.
We got into Vegas at about 8:30 pm and immediately got hit with the overpowering sound of slot machines and blinding lights of gigantic LED screens advertising Cirque du Soleil, beach clubs, and Magic Mike. It was amazing, every ounce of exhaustion from the flight left my body and was replaced with a childlike excitement… We were in Vegas. For our first night in Vegas, we walked through the Miracle Mile Mall, got a half yard at Cabo Wabo, walked the strip, met Bumblebee then finished out the night with dinner at Bubba Gumps.
Our second day was just as adventurous. We had breakfast at Planet Dailies in Planet Hollywood, which was delicious. I had some bomb French toast and Kristin had a giant breakfast burrito. From there we returned to the miracle mile mall until it was time for us to check into our vacation house. We won’t get into our vacation house because that was a very… Very interesting situation lol. After getting situated we then went down to Freemont Street for an “I Do Crew” style bar crawl.
On day three we took a trip over to the Fashion Show Mall, which is a big beautiful mall with a terrible food court. We ran into Sephora per usual, watched the musical water fountain at the Palazzo, then played the penny slots and got free drinks. We hung out there for a few hours until it was time for us to get ready for our hot dinner date at Joe’s Seafood Prime Steak & Stone Crab. This restaurant is supposed to be a top notch seafood and steak joint, but I’m not that fancy so I think it’s something you could live without but we did look rather fly. From there we went to a cool little club called 1Oak and danced the night away.
Day four of our trip was definitely my favorite. We went to Drai’s Beach Club for an amazing Pool Party. Check in was at 11 am and we didn’t leave until well after 4. This was my first pool party but will definitely not be my last! It was amazing the music was loud, the people were beautiful and the drinks were strong and efficient. I still haven’t quite figured out how they managed to make 115 degree Las Vegas sufferable. It felt great and there was just enough sun to get that melanin poppin’. After the pool party, we took a nice long nap then had a lingerie party for the bride to be!
Sunday wasn’t too exciting it was finally time to wrap things up and head back to reality. Overall our trip was great. I had soooooo much fun, got a little tan and now have an extra place to visit on my travel America trip next year.
